Sinteco and its team, have been working in the plastic converting sector in Europe for many decades both for the application of new expanding gases and liquids, and in the construction of systems for their safe use. A know-how recognized by customers in many years of presence on the market of extruded and expanded plastics, both thermoplastics and thermosetting polymers.
To offer a further service to customers, Sinteco distributes regenerated polymers (off-grade) and special additives for the extrusion and expansion processes of plastic materials such as XPS, EPS, XPE, XPP, XPET all around Europe.
REGENERATED POLYMERS
The regenerated polymers (off grade) derive from the recovery of products already used and from subsequent processing such as compaction, grinding, extrusion and/or densification, depending on the origin of the products. Once reprocessed, the products are available for reuse, in a variable percentage depending on the final destinations. The circular economy and some new laws, in the European context, now increasingly require the recycling and use of the resulting products both for an economic issue but also for an environmental issue. In general, thermoplastics including polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, PET, and many others, are perfectly suited for this purpose.
Sinteco has batches of off-grade GPPS, with MFI (melt flow index) values and different colours, depending on the origin.

ADDITIVES FOR PLASTIC MATERIALS
In the field of extruded and expanded plastics, different types of additives are used during the production process to improve the performance of the finished product, in particular to improve cellulation, self-extinguishing, mechanical characteristics, the process itself.
These are generally powders or better masterbatches, less complicated in handling, designed and manufactured on customer request, based on the production process and performance needs. Let’s talk about:
- Processing aids
- Nucleating agents
- Colour masterbatches
- Flame retardants
