These are Molecular Sieves also called Zeolites for dynamic absorption, chemically called Sodium Aluminium Silicate (Na86[(AlO2)86(SiO2)106.XH2O). This Silicate is used in numerous chemical processes including:
- Ethanol drying.
- Absorption of Sulphides, Mercaptans, Water. They are widely used in the purification of different Liquefied Petroleum Gases.
- Air purification from water or CO2.
- Glass insulation in the production of double glazing.
- Moisture extraction from noble gases, like Refrigerants, etc.
- In the production of braking systems for lorries.
- Oxygen PSA process.
Molecular sieves are subdivided by size and therefore the absorption capacity, from 3 Angstrom to 10 Angstrom (the latter also called 13x).
13X (10 Angstrom) is a highly performing product because it is particularly active in its Absorption capacity, ideal for purifying both natural Gas and the Purification of LPG for particular uses.
Used mostly by oil Refineries in the Gas and Gasoline and Gas oil purification towers.
3A is generally used in the insulation of double glazing.
The absorption capacity of H2O in 24H is 20% min. (65° C temperature at a relative humidity of 65%, pressure 17.5mmHg).
