FK 5-1-12 is a pure fluorinated ketone (HFO), also called R1230, used in particular applications in the Extinguishing sector, an ideal substitute for all Halons and HFCs used in this sector. The high fluorine content of FK 5-1-12 (R1230) makes this liquid, with a high molecular weight, a perfect extinguishing agent with very high performance. FK 5-1-12 fluid has been successfully approved by UL (Underwriters’ Laboratories). FK 5-1-12 finds a wide application in the fire-protection of Data Centers, electrical and electronic equipment rooms, telecommunication plants, banks, museums, hospitals, etc … due to its high efficiency it is used in applications where water could doing more harm than good in the event of a fire, it is widely used to protect high-value products and machinery. From an ecological point of view FK 5-1-12 (R1230) is liquid with a super low GWP of 1 and an ODP of 0.
