R134a+DME is a pure hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and DME (Dimethyl Ether) blend which has long been used as an aerosol spray propellant. Its non-flammability is achieved at a specific weight percentage.
The use of this blend has been BANNED in Europe since 01-01-2018, as per the bans imposed by Regulation (EC) no. 517/2014, but it can be used in non-EC countries.
R134a+DME is especially used in the manufacturing of aerosol spray bottles containing sector-specific formulations for special applications whose non-flammability is essential.
The weight formulation of R134a+DME blend can be adjusted to meet customer requirements, based on blending %. The relevant GWP also depends on the required blending type and is below 1430 in any case.
