R32 is a pure hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), with low GWP and a high refrigerating power. It is used in a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial air-conditioning applications, as a replacement for R410A, where possible.
R32 is a lower-flammability refrigerant (Safety Class A2L).
R32 is used in applications for the operation of residential split and commercial air-conditioning systems, as well as a few applications for chiller systems.
Furthermore, R32 is a component of several low-GWP blends found on the market.
It may be used with an extremely wide range of equipment, due to its main feature, that is, a cooling performance which is comparable to R22.
Ecologically, R32 is a gas featuring medium GWP (675) and zero ODP.
