R507 is an azeotropic hydrofluorocarbon blend (HFC), consisting of R125 + R143a, which may be used in a wide range of commercial and industrial refrigeration applications as well as refrigerated transport.
R507 is a non-flammable refrigerant (Safety Class A1).
R507 is used in applications for the operation of cold storage rooms, refrigerated counters, refrigerated display cases, ice-cream and ice-making machines, refrigerated transport and flooded systems.
Ecologically, R507 is a gas featuring high GWP (3985) and zero ODP.

Based on the EC Regulation 517/2014 art 13. Point 3) the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases with global warming potential equal to or greater than 2,500 for the assistance or maintenance of refrigeration equipment with a refrigeration load size equal to or greater than 40 tons of equivalent CO2 is prohibited.
This indicates that virgin R507 can still be used for Maintenance and Assistance of equipment with a capacity of less than 10 KG. |
