HFC152a

R152a is a pure hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), which has long been used as a blowing agent for several plastic materials.
R152a is especially used in the polymer extrusion and expansion process, as this product displays an excellent extruding performance and an appealing dissolving capacity.
R152a is a flammable HFC with low GWP (124) and zero ODP.
The use of R152a in the extrusion process is not limited or banned by Regulation (EC) no. 517/2014.
Furthermore, R152a is also used in a few blowing gas blends in order to improve the insulating performance of construction products.
