R152a+DME is a pure hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and DME (Dimethyl Ether) blend, which has long been used as a blowing agent for several plastic materials.
R152a+DME is especially used in the polymer extrusion and expansion process, as this blend displays an excellent extruding performance and an appealing dissolving and plasticizing capacity.
The weight formulation of R152a+DME blend can be adjusted to meet customer requirements.
R152a+DME is a flammable blend with low GWP (below 124, depending on blending %).
The use of R152a+DME in the extrusion process is not limited or banned by Regulation (EC) no. 517/2014.
Furthermore, R152a+DME is also used as a blowing gas in order to improve the insulating performance of construction products.
